End of the season

Monday, 14th May 2018

Well, yesterday was our very last trekking day of this season. Next week the horses will all be moving to their winter grazing to enjoy a well deserved holiday. Thanks to all of you who rode with us this season. We really enjoyed meeting so many lovely people and taking you all out on some great rides!
We have been spending our last few days at Moke Lake, taking out some lovely final rides, taking all the shoes off the horses and clearing and packing up ready for the big move.

Big thanks to all our lovely guides this season who will now be scattered around the world on new and wonderful adventures.

Val too is heading back to Germany for a few months to escape the cold here but we look forward to her return later in the year. Molly and Flore will be enduring the winter for a little longer to make sure the boys are happy and settled in their new winter grazing but will be counting down the days until we reopen in the spring. Watch this space for more winter updates on how they're all getting on and there may even be a little winter surprise to be revealed in a few weeks time...!

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to Toby who is settling into his new home and seems very happy. Both Bart and Solomon will also hopefully be going to their new homes shortly where we hope they too will be very happy. The rest of the boys are going to love their new winter grazing, they are going to stay nice and fat as there is soooo much grass in their paddocks. They will also be learning what life with a lady in charge is like. That's right, Alisha is in with the boys and making sure they all behave themselves over the winter.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram accounts to keep up with how the boys and girl are doing and any news we may have. We will be checking them emails sporadically over the winter so if you have any questions send us a message, we will get back to you when we can.

Thanks again for a great season! We couldn't do it without you all. Hope to see some familiar faces next season and lots of new ones too.

Lots of love, The Ben Lomond Horse Treks Team (human and equine)
